Bear Butte Gulch Lodge was born from a simple belief: that the best lodging doesn't try to be anything other than what it is — a warm, honest place to rest your head after a day in the mountains.

We built this lodge with materials sourced from the Black Hills itself — pine, stone, and iron — and furnished every room to feel like a home you didn't know you had. The view from our porch isn't something you pay extra for; it's just there, every morning, every evening, exactly as it was when you arrived.
